Why Arena Floor access matters

The Arena Floor is an additional access area available with selected tickets. It is included with several guided and audio-guided options, but not with every Colosseum ticket. If you want to stand on the historic arena level, confirm that the wording of the selected ticket specifically includes Arena Floor admission.

VR experiences

The VR ticket combines entry to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill with a 45-minute virtual reality experience and an audio guide. It is designed for visitors who want visual reconstruction alongside the physical ruins. This option does not include a live guide or Arena Floor access.

Colosseum and Vatican combination tickets

Combination tickets can cover the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill together with the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. One format includes guided visits to both areas, while another uses a multimedia presentation and does not include guided tours, Arena Floor or Underground access, or transport between the attractions. Select this type only if you want to visit both major Rome sites as part of the same booking.

Small groups and hotel pickup

Some small-group tours include hotel pickup, while others focus on the guided visit itself. Hotel pickup is a separate service rather than a standard feature of every small-group ticket. If this matters for your plans, choose a ticket that states it is included and check whether return transport is also provided.
